Hope is priceless, after this year of so much collective trauma and loss, we are grateful to our panel – Patrick Robertson & Erika Polmar fo the IRC, Jody Adams, founding board member of MRU & Sue Bette of Bluebird BBQ in Burlington, VT, founding board member of Vermont Independent Restaurants.

The one hour discussion reviewed important details on restaurant relief and the American Rescue Plan. The IRC has provided this overview that contains details on the act, navigation and intel for restaurants .

It has been a year of unimagined loss and challenge for our industry. The vulnerability of this time has fostered connection, collaboration and creativity to forge a more sustainable future for our community. This past weekend the Senate voted to approve the Cares Act which includes 28.6 Billion in grant program for restaurants. This news coming right after the town hall with the IRC gives us renewed hope for next steps onward. details will continue to emerge and we will keep sharing the latest info with our membership.

MRU will continue to create Sobremesa Town Hall gatherings to support the industry. Our next Town hall will be March 22nd at 2pm on Zoom. The Sobremesa will cover PPP phase 2 on if you would like to participate by providing specific questions for the CPA please do so by March17th.
